Design relaunch with a sense for roots and region
The bakery Back Mayr GmbH from Mindelheim, with about 40 stores, offers baked goods made from selected ingredients, traditional craftsmanship and taste to many consumers in southern Germany. The art of traditional baking since 1938. Because it tastes good. Two statements that make absolute sense. Firstly, the lower Allgaeu company with its long history has always been deeply rooted in the region and secondly, you can simply taste the passion for craftsmanship.
A new corporate design was necessary in order to adapt the branding to the quality and history of the company. The slogan “Because it tastes good” had to be reflected in the corporate design as well as in the advertising with its various activities. First and foremost, a revision of the logo—the relaunch—was required. After an analysis of the existing logo and its style-defining characteristics, the two colors yellow and black and a more dynamically designed triangle were defined as important elements. This ensures that the character of the logo is preserved. In terms of typography there was a new beginning. The combination of a curved and straightforward typeface combines a traditional look with a fresh modern appearance, while at the same time making the logo easier to recognize and more visible from a distance.
After determining the essential features in the corporate design, the individual steps could be executed: the usual business stationery from business cards and letterheads, pylons and advertising displays, posters and flyers up to ads in the daily newspaper. The store equipment with paper bags, wrappers and coffee cups is part of a bakery as a particularly important promotional tool. The new design with a high yellow/black ratio has also increased attention.
Pictures that make you feel the flavor of a bakery—this brings life to a website. In addition to a simple navigation structure for good usability and an individual web design, the new corporate website fits the creative concept of the Bavarian bakery.
